Drive Smart Summer Service Program Rules

 

  • Offer valid 7/1/09 through 8/31/09.
  • Only one (1) Car Care Guide and Sweepstakes Entry per person and/or household address.
  • To receive a Car Care Guide, consumer must purchase any Federal-Mogul qualifying branded product (ANCO® Wiper Blades, Carter® Fuel Pumps, Champion® Spark Plugs or Additives, Fel-Pro® Gaskets, MOOG® Chassis Parts, Wagner Lighting® Products or Wagner® ThermoQuiet® Brake Pads).
  • Completed Redemption Certificate must be received by mail no later than 9/30/09 with a copy of the original invoice validating the Federal-Mogul qualifying product purchased.
  • Allow approximately 10 weeks for delivery of Car Care Guide following the receipt of all required documentation at Program Headquarters.
  • Offer valid in United States and District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old. Excludes Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. territories. Requests without zip code can not be processed.
  • Reward cannot be substituted for cash value.
  • Void where prohibited, taxed, or restricted by law. Cannot be combined with any other offer.
  • Fraudulent submissions may result in federal prosecution.
  • Offer valid only to individual consumers; requests from groups, clubs or organizations will not be honored. Invalid or duplicate requests will not be honored or returned.
  • No incomplete, damaged, photocopied, mechanically reproduced, altered, or forged receipts or offer forms of any kind or receipts or offer forms not obtained through authorized channels will be accepted.
  • All Redemption Certificates become property of Federal-Mogul and are non-returnable.
  • Federal-Mogul has no obligation to acknowledge, redeem or return redemption requests not in compliance with these terms.
  • Federal-Mogul is committed to ensuring that all personal and business information gathered is kept confidential. Information is collected for internal purposes only.
  • Return of any reward as undeliverable will result in forfeiture of the reward.
  • Federal-Mogul, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, print agencies, racing affiliates shall not be liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any reward including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for any purpose.
  • The U.S. Postal Statutes prohibit acts devised to defraud or to obtain money or property by false or fraudulent means, if the postal system is involved - this would include, among other things, the use of fictitious names or addresses.

Official Rules and Conditions

ELIGIBILITY: The Drive Smart Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older. Employees of Federal-Mogul Corporation (“Sponsor”), and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and any other company involved in the Sweepstakes, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the households of such individuals, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited. All applicable federal, state, municipal and local laws and regulations apply.

HOW TO ENTER: Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on July 1, 2009 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on August 31, 2009 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). There are two ways to enter: (1) buy qualifying ANCO® Wiper Blades, Carter® Fuel Pumps, Champion® Spark Plugs or Additives, Fel-Pro® Gaskets, MOOG® Chassis Parts, Wagner Lighting® Products or Wagner® ThermoQuiet® Brake Pads, complete a redemption certificate online at www.FMDriveSmart.com and automatically receive an entry in the Sweepstakes and (2) without purchasing a qualifying product, go online to www.FMDriveSmart.com and follow the Sweepstakes only instructions. Regardless of method of entry, limit one (1) entry per individual and/or household address. All entries, regardless of method of entry must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on August 31, 2009 to be eligible.

WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be selected from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period in a random drawing on or about October 15, 2009. Drawing will be held under the supervision of Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

PRIZES:

  • Twenty (20) Grand Prizes: One (1) VISA® Gift Card in the amount of $500 to be used at any location that accepts VISA®. (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Prize: $500)
  • Eighty (80) Second Prizes: One (1) VISA® Gift Card in the amount of $250 to be used at any location that accepts VISA®. (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Prize: $250)
  • Two Hundred (200) Third Prizes: One (1) VISA® Gift Card in the amount of $100 to be used at any location that accepts VISA®. (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Prize: $100)

Total Winners: 300. Total ARV of all prizes: $50,000. Prizes are non-transferable; no substitutions or cash equivalents allowed, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Winners will be mailed their Prizes before November 30, 2009. Prizes will be mailed to the address associated with the winning entry. Sponsor not responsible for prizes returned as undeliverable. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of use as set forth by VISA®. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All prizes claimed will be awarded. Limit one (1) prize per winner. Winner is responsible for all taxes or other fees associated with winning a Prize.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding. By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants hereby (1) affirm their eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes, (2) grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use winners’ name, city and state of residence in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law, and (3) accepts all liability, including but not limited to taxes, that occurs in connection with receiving a Prize. By entering, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Pitney Bowes, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, race teams, prize suppliers, advertising and promotion agencies and any other company involved in the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, this Sweepstakes or the awarding, acceptance, possession or use of any prize, or any travel/activity associated herewith. Released Parties shall not be responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, inaccurate, misdirected, stolen, undelivered, delayed, damaged or postage-due entries, mail, approvals or sales recordings; for mechanical, network, technical, printing, typographical, human, or other errors or problems relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries or recording of sales, the announcement of the prizes or in any Sweepstakes-related materials, the mailing of prizes; or for any malfunctions, errors, failures or delays in computer systems, phone lines or other communications, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures or delays in computer transmission or network connections of any kind whatsoever and howsoever caused. Released Parties are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical, human error or other error in the transmission, receipt or processing of the entries. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes or any element thereof. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, conduct a random drawing to award the prize for the Sweepstakes Period at issue from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the action requiring such termination. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, or who disrupts the administration of this Sweepstakes, who intends to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor representative or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules and Conditions and void all associated entries.

WINNERS LIST: For the names of the winners (available after November 30, 2009), send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Drive Smart Sweepstakes Winners, P.O. Box 9107, Farmington, MI 48333-9107. Residents of Vermont may omit return postage. Requests must be postmarked after November 30, 2009 and received by December 31, 2009.
